ALERT EARTHQUAKE SEISMIC SENSOR IN SO. CAL 446.900 MHz 186.2 CTCSS Decode Tone (Receive Only) Here is what you do to use the earthquake sensor. - Tune your radio to 446.900 MHz (receive only) - Set your CTCSS tone to 186.2 Hz Decode tone. Any upcoming earthquakes that are level 3.0 or higher in the So. Cal area will come through your radio's speaker. Usually you will get 10 seconds to 45 seconds early warning. The output signal is heard only in the So. Cal area. Test tones are broadcast everyday. UPDATE: Please note the 186.2 CTCSS output tone is currently not working. You can still listen for seismic activity by tuning to 446.900 MHz in So. Cal, but the CTCSS output tone feature is temporarly disabled.
